Home Gym Mania's Pick

Bowflex SelectTech adjustable dumbbells are a great selection for your home gym especially because it saves a lot of space. It simply replace 15 different weights of dumbbells and racks with just one pair of dumbbells.

But when it comes to selecting models from Bowflex SelectTech, it is not an easy matter.
That is especially true for Bowflex 552 and 560, as both of them has very similar weight range and settings.

Then what is the difference between the two models?

The most notable difference is its weight adjusting system. SelectTech 552 has a turning dials system, whereas SelectTech 560 has a twisting handles system. You can change both of them fairly quickly. But for 552, you have to turn a dial two times for each end to adjust the weight settings. For 560, you can adjust the weight by twisting handles once.

Another notable difference is its shape. 552 has a conventional round shape, whereas 560 has a rectangle shape. Depending on personal preference, 560 can be a bit controversial because of its non-conventional rectangle shape.

Lastly, Bowflex 560 has integrated Bluetooth technology, so you can track your workout weight, count reps, and sets. Also, it comes with 3DT(3 Dimensional Trainer), which is a step by step video coaching.

Our pick is Bowflex SelectTech 560. If you are on a budget, Bowflex 552 is also a great option.
But if you can afford a bit more, we definitely recommend Bowflex 560 for your home gym.
